Just days before the launch of the new season of content for Fortnite, it looks like a first glimpse of the upcoming Chapter 3 has made its way onto… Tiktok. While Epic Games calls for leniency from dataminers ahead of this great event, an unwelcome advertisement posted in advance on the social network would have already leaked some initial elements for the future of multiplayer gaming.
But this new leak does not come from virtual snoopers or other agents infiltrated in the highest spheres of secrecy. The ad that sold the wick would have been posted on the social network TikTok, before being promptly withdrawn — but not quickly enough to avoid circling the web three times.
One user of the platform claims to have seen the ad and subsequently saved it before posting it publicly on his own Tiktok account. Whether we cry fake or not, the content of this short video seems to be far too precise — and its production far too professional — to leave room for doubt … And we warned, in advance, of the spoilers that will follow, if ever. the storytelling of Fortnite is one of your most ardent passions.
We can thus see the consequences of the confrontation with the Queen Cube, and the galacico-cosmic twists that follow. Black hole in space, extraterrestrial UFO, spatio-temporal fissure — all the SF elements that we have now become accustomed to in the history of battle royale answer the call; with, as a consequence, a very different future for the players.
This is perhaps the most important element of this advertisement: the playing card will indeed be turned upside down, in the literal sense of the word. Agent Jones is in the front row to see the infamous Fortnite Island turned upside down like a pancake on its horizontal axis, and it remains to be seen what the new playground will look like.
The conclusion of Chapter 2 of Fortnite will take place this Saturday, December 4 on all game platforms.
