Anker launches new high-performance GaN chargers

It’s time to look for effective solutions to avoid wasting energy as much as possible. For electronic devices, this requires more efficient batteries, but also more advanced AC adapters.

Anker introduced its new line of GanPrime power adapters which ushers in more efficient gallium nitride (GaN) technology. The manufacturer has invested heavily in GaN since 2018, using this material in more and more ever more compact accessories, and therefore in the third generation of chargers.

Chargers soon to be marketed in France

Seven adapters in all have been announced, some will be available by the end of the month in France. Two models include two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, with different powers: the Anker 735 (65W) at €59.99 and the 737 (120W) at €94.99. A 140W 717 charger will also be offered for €99.99.

The manufacturer has not stopped there since its GaNPrime catalog will also be enriched with the 747 150W charger, with three USB-C ports and a USB-A port; the external battery 733 (10,000 mAh capacity and 65W power) with two USB-C ports and one USB-A port; a 727 charging station with two AC outlets, two USB-C and two USB-A (100W); and a 65W power strip 615 with two AC outlets, two USB-C ports and one USB-A port.

Unfortunately, these products will not be marketed in France. This new generation GanPrime integrates new technologies concocted by Anker, such as PowerIQ 4.0 which detects the energy needs of each connected device and adjusts the distribution of electricity in order to reduce the overall charging time by up to one hour. There is also the second version of ActiveShield which monitors the temperature and modulates the output power to prevent overheating and preserve the connected devices.
