The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal gaming headsets offer a new design, and PS5 connectivity for the latest generation gamers.
Bang & Olufsen, a renowned company in the world of audio tech, is taking another step into the world of gaming. Indeed, after having released headsets compatible with the Xbox console, it is towards the PS5 that the Danish brand has decided to turn. It is thus reinventing its Beoplay Portal range, which was released very recently. We take a look at the new products offered by Bang & Olufsen.
Overall, Beoplay Portal gaming headsets are very similar to their classic version. However, the brand does not overlook a slight redefinition of the design. On the headphones, you will find high-end materials, such as aluminum discs ” touch sensitive with a gradient effect produced using a patented anodizing technique “.
A helmet full of technologies
In terms of audio, the brand places all its know-how in two custom-designed 40mm speakers with neodymium magnets. If this is already powerful in itself, Bang & Olufsen adds compatibility with Dolby Atmos technology for even more immersive sound.
With its array of beamforming microphones, Bang & Olufsen intends to completely isolate your voice, when you use voice chat or when streaming for example, and reduce surrounding noise. To do this, you can also activate the ANC function, which will further reduce the sounds around you and completely isolate you from the world. Note that this has an impact on listening time and battery life.
This can be up to 42 hours of listening time via Bluetooth or using the dongle for wireless and cross-platform connectivity, as well as the most faithful sound. You can connect the headset to PC and PlayStation consoles, but also mobile devices and enjoy 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, in addition to aptX Adaptive technology developed by Qualcomm.
