Call of Duty Warzone 2 would wipe the slate clean according to a latest rumor

The wick was sold last night in an explosive report from the Bloomberg site: the next three games call of duty will not be Xbox exclusives, despite the takeover of Activison-Blizzard by Microsoft at the expense of tens of billions of dollars. Cross-platform insurance spanning (minimum) the next two years for the next two installments of the canon call of duty… But also for Warzone 2the sequel to the famous battle royale, the existence of which was also leaked occasionally.

If nothing has yet been formalized for this new battle royalethe American journalist and insider Tom Henderson nevertheless let some information leak ahead of Twitter.

Warzone 2 would start from scratch

According to the American journalist, Warzone 2 would not include an integration of weapons from the previous game—and therefore no transfer of other cosmetic items such as weapon skins, operator skins, and the like. For next-gen consoles only

Henderson bluntly asserts that it will be “a completely new game for better hardware”: we should not count on a release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but rather on an exclusivity on the new generation consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S—and obviously PC.

call of duty warzone 2 would be expected for 2023, while this year will see the release of the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare next fall, as tradition dictates. A tradition of annual release which could however be turned upside down for the years to come: discussions on a radical change of production for the franchise would be underway within Activison-Blizzard…
