CD Projekt RED tackles patch 1.5 bugs

Definitely, CD Project RED cannot live with an easy launch: the release of patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 did not come without difficulty for the players. Numerous testimonials on social networks and on the forums of the Polish studio report bugs of all kinds, whether in the console versions or the PC versions. In a message posted on its official forum, CDPR promised to work on correcting these technical problems.

We don’t make next-gen without breaking some bugs

Thus, two bugs in particular have the attention of the development teams. The first concerns the PlayStation 4 version—specifically, its physical blu-ray version which simply wouldn’t start for some players after installing patch 1.5. The second bug concerns the PC version which would crash immediately after its launch. A bug that would be linked to a conflict between different audio drivers according to the Polish studio. The latter thus advises PC players to deactivate the drivers concerned (“A-Volute, Nahimic or Sonic Studio”) while waiting for a patch to come.

The release of patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 also raised new demands from the gaming community. This upgrade was primarily intended for the new generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, which until then had no native version of the game optimized for their specific hardware.

But if the patch brings many graphic improvements, such as the addition of a ray-tracing mode, some users still feel they are particularly injurious to Xbox Series S players. The least powerful console of the next-gen offer from Microsoft does not have a 60FPS mode, much to the chagrin of those who swear by frame rate and not resolution.

CD Projekt RED has thus declared to be on the file, but warns that it “does not know if it is feasible”. The forum post also mentions the transfer of PS4 trophies to the PS5, still impossible for the moment, and again refrains from any guarantee. Patience required, therefore.
