The president of CD PROJEKT RED recently declared that in the long term, Cyberpunk 2077 will look like a “very good game”. It must be said that the developers of the game do not intend to be idle, not only to correct what should have been done before the release, but also to add content.
We didn’t think we would talk about Cyberpunk 2077 soon, but since it is about an optimistic vision shared by its creators, we might as well end the year on such a note. It should also be noted that the information was not served on a plate because it was published in the columns of a Polish economic newspaper.
Adam Kiciński, President of CD PROJEKT RED, spoke about Cyberpunk 2077. In view of the media involved, it is not release dates that have been announced, but rather a global reflection on what the title is destined to become.
Cyberpunk 2077, CD PROJEKT RED’s “biggest” and “most ambitious” project
Asked to give his point of view on Cyberpunk 2077 a year after its release, Adam Kiciński began by recalling that at the base, this game was developed with the intention of going beyond what the studio had already done so far:
“Cyberpunk 2077 is the biggest, most ambitious and certainly the most complicated project in our 27-year history. In almost every aspect we’ve tried to take it a step further, as we’ve done with every Witcher game we’ve released. ”
And to continue:
“Releasing a game in a new franchise comes with a lot of challenges and risks, especially when the concept is so complex. We brought to life a huge, bustling futuristic city called Night City, in which the characters’ non-linear stories unfold. We are proud of many aspects of the game, but as we know, not everything turned out the way we wanted it to. ”
The studio president then appears convinced that in the more or less distant future, Cyberpunk 2077 will acquire the letters of nobility that we seemed ready to give it from its first glimpse:
“Nonetheless, the notoriety of Cyberpunk that we have managed to build is huge, and the universe, its characters and its details have fans all over the world. We believe that in the long run Cyberpunk 2077 will be seen as a very good game and like our other titles it will sell for years to come, especially as the hardware gets more powerful over time. time and improve the game. We are constantly working on updates, as well as on the latest generation of consoles. ”
See you now in Q1 2022 for updates aimed at making Cyberpunk 2077 better. Or a little less broken depending on your point of view.
