Barely listed on the London Stock Exchange, Devolver Digital is a hit, and even attracts Sony as an investor.
After FaZe Clan, which went public just a week ago, it’s Devolver Digital’s turn to take the plunge. The video game studio has just entered the London Stock Exchange, known as the London Stock Exchange. And the adventure seems to start well for Devolver, which reaches a value closer to a million dollars.
When the company opened on the stock market, its price was valued at $ 261 million, and ended the day at $ 950 million. A shattering entry that reassures players in the video game industry about the future of video games and their place in the financial market. That makes the studio the largest US company by market capitalization to be listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Sony and Devolver: the beginning of a romance?
In the list of potential investors is the name of Sony Interactive Entertainment, which allegedly tried to take its share of the pie. Indeed, the firm at the same time builder, studio and publisher could now hold 5% of Devolver Digital. At the moment, it’s unclear whether that calls for future collaborations.

The company also explains: “ This means that Devolver Digital will be able to continue to invest in all the games we are currently working on, partner with new games that we have not been able to consider until now, and add to our team of video game professionals the people we like to work with “.
Investments that pay off
In a statement, the studio also said that the employees of the company are and will remain the majority shareholders and that they represent the future of the company. In addition to this news, it was announced that Devolver Digital is purchasing four new development studios, which it has dealt with on numerous occasions.
These are Croteam (Serious Sam, The Talos Principle), Dodge Roll (Enter the Gungeon), Nerial (Reigns, Card Shark) and FireFly Studios (Stronghold series). As a reminder, Devolver Digital is the studio behind the hit titles Fall Guys, GREY or Hotline Miami. At E3 2021, the company presented a wacky talk, based entirely on humor and derision.
