Sony unveils a brand new feature to edit your video game captures to make Shorts or TikTok.
Aspiring TikTokers will love this update. On PS5, budding videographers are surely already familiar with the free Share Factory Studio application, a video editor created by Sony that allows you to edit your gaming clips directly on your console. Already very practical for creating collages, adding stickers or adding camera effects, the application has just become even more useful for anyone who would like to make short clips to post on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram.
A tool for all PS5 gamers
The update integrates the Bits menu, which lets you design your Shorts or TikToks, ranging from 3 seconds to 1 minute, in the blink of an eye thanks to preconfigured animations. Several modes are available depending on what you want to create with your video captures. First of all, you can access a quick editing mode, which remains complete but makes it easier for you to edit your videos.
Of course, you still have access to animated stickers, audio options or text customization. But Sony is adding new, more up-to-date elements that will save you a lot of time editing your short videos. You can also take your DualSense to hand draw on your clips or modify your voice with audio filters. Discover all the editing possibilities in this short video explanation.
How to use its video clips on the networks?
Once you’ve finished your video, simply download it to your console, and you’ll be able to access your edited captures directly from the PS App on your smartphone. Go to the captures tab to upload your video to your device, and then post it to your flagship network, or any that exist.
