  • Choose between 1.25, 1.5 and 2 to speed up the video by 25, 50 and 100% (x2).

How to slow down or speed up YouTube video on Android and iOS smartphone:

  • Start a video, tap the screen (inside the content), tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.

  • Select Reading speed in the context menu that appears at the bottom.

  • Choose between 0.75, 0.5, and 0.25 to slow down video by 25, 50, and 75%, and between 1.25, 1.5, and 2 to speed up video by 25, 50, and 100% (x2).
