Some actions still possible after disabling payments
However, Nintendo clarifies that players will still be able to ” re-download content they own ” and “ download existing software updates » according to your needs. This obviously does not change anything for the Nintendo Switch, which remains the brand’s current flagship console. However, Nintendo does not mention the reasons for such a decision.
Like its competitor Sony, which has gradually closed the blinds of the PS Vita and PS3 consoles, this could follow too great an investment, human and financial, for the maintenance of these blinds given their very sparse use. A cost that could be passed on to other more profitable activities.
