Kill the Justice League” will not be released in 2022

WB Games had declared during the official announcement of the game in 2020 that it should be available during the year 2022. A wish that the subsidiary of Warner Bros specializing in the design and distribution of video games had renewed at the end of 2021. It was during the Game Awards in December 2021 where the gameplay of the game was presented for the first time.

Everything seemed to be on track for the game to release this year. Except that according to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, players will have to wait until 2023 to be able to have the game.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League plagued by major delays

Ahead of The Game Awards 2021, WB Games promised that gameplay for the game would be unveiled at the event. This was done with a rather satisfactory result. The subsidiary of Warner Bros had unveiled a trailer (the one found above) in which we could see in action some of the characters available in the game.

These include Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, King Shark and Harley Quinn. The first thing that strikes the mind is of course the adaptation of the gameplay to each character of the game. Even the evil version of Flash which opposes the previous protagonists of the game brings varieties to the Gameplay.

Better, at the end of the video we can read that the game would be available on PS5, Xbox Series X / S and PC in 2022. Which would now be impossible according to Jason Schreier. The video game journalist at Bloomberg recently published a report which indicates that the release of the game should be pushed back to 2023.

For this, he indicated in his report that the game had significant internal delays without however mentioning the reasons which explain this. He also added that the information would come from people related to game development.

WB Games’ other 2022 releases maintained for now

Information regarding the postponement of the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for next year is not confirmed at this time. Nevertheless, one wonders if the other titles of the subsidiary will not suffer from the same problem.

Apparently, the Suicide Squad game would be the only one to be in this situation. Even Hogwarts Legacy, which has long been the subject of postponement rumors, should be available this year. Indeed, the CEO of Warner Media, Jason Killar, had recently indicated that titles like: Gotham Knights, Hogwarts Legacy and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, would be available in 2022.

To do this, he revealed through a tweet, the projects that his company should make available in 2022. In the list of highly anticipated games, therefore, appeared Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy. But unfortunately, the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was not mentioned by the list. Which makes it believable that the release of the game has been pushed back to 2023.

However, there is no official release date for Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy yet. WB Games are rumored to be targeting summer 2022 for the release of Gotham Knights. Regarding LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, its official release date is known and is for next April 5.
