If you haven’t already/yet discarded your copy of the GTA Trilogy in the darkest of dungeons for high treason, Rockstar Games has just announced the upcoming arrival of new updates for its remasters. But where have you been able to store these keys?
With sales at the rendezvous despite a finish having missed the start, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition further confirmed the omnipotence of name and reputation. The latter may well suffer from remastering not at the level of the originals, in the end, many could not resist the call of a smooth nostalgia.
Last January, we assumed that following comments made by Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, who thus spoke of a “glitch” from now on “resolved”, no more updates were to be expected for this trilogy. It was without counting a new intervention of our man, earlier in the month, where this one had then mentioned “even more fixes to come”.
GTA The Trilogy The Definitive Edition: all media affected by the next patches
This dear Strauss had not gone too fast, because no later than Thursday, February 24, the Rockstar Games Twitter account made an announcement along the same lines:
“New hotfixes are coming next week for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on all platforms. We appreciate the patience and support of the community. »
Note the plural used here for “corrective”, which may imply that depending on the media, the patches deployed will not be the same in substance. Another observation to note, the unknown concerning the sectors that will be improved. Since there are probably many building sites, the question of a non-precision of the thing does not really arise.
As a reminder, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was released on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X, Switch and PC (via the Rockstar Games Launcher). It will make versions to patch up a little more to achieve a result that we no longer dare to hope for perfect.
New patches are coming next week for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition across all platforms. We appreciate the community’s patience and support.
