Nintendo has decided to postpone the release of the game to a later date. Advance Wars 1+2 on Switch. The group explains that the war in Ukraine is the reason for this postponement.
New postponement for Advance Wars 1+2
It is through a tweet that Nintendo announces the news concerning Advance Wars 1+2 :
Due to international news, we have decided to postpone the release of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, originally scheduled for 08/04 on Nintendo Switch. The new release date of the game will be announced later.

The game, which will be exclusive to Switch, was originally scheduled to release in December 2021. But Nintendo announced last October that it would finally release on April 8, 2022. “The game just needs a little more time to polish. You will soon be able to fight with Andy and his friends! Thank you for your patience “, the company said. Today, the reason for the postponement is not the development of the game, but the whole situation with the war in Ukraine.
The military tactics game is a reboot ofAdvance Wars and D’Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, featuring tanks, helicopters and heavily armed soldiers blowing up city buildings and other public infrastructure. Although Nintendo did not specifically cite the invasion of Ukraine, its allusion to “international news” involves the dispute as the reason for the delay. Nintendo also suspended its eShop in Russia due to the store’s inability to process ruble payments.
