Obi-Wan Kenobi documentary is coming to Disney+

The platform will broadcast a new documentary, devoted to the return of the actors in the skin of their iconic characters.

It’s the return of the Jedi and his former Padawan on Disney+. Only a few weeks after the release ofObi-Wan Kenobi on the platform, it is already time to find Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. The duo will star in a documentary called A Jedi’s Return. No question of exploring the rest of the adventures of their respective characters, it will be the two actors who will be in the spotlight this time.

For several tens of minutes, A Jedi’s Return will take us behind the scenes of this reunion, eagerly awaited by fans of the license. It must be said that the last time they appeared on screen was in 2005. This new production will be an opportunity for the two friends to look back on their beginnings in the saga of George Lucas. Many anecdotes are on the program. Director Deborah Chow should also return to her artistic biases.

It’s the next september 8 that Disney+ gives us an appointment for this production. As the release of Andor approaches, the platform wants to recall the saga Star Wars to the good feeling of its subscribers. It must be said that the start of the school year is rather busy on the platforms, between House of the Dragon and The Lord of the Rings, there is something for everyone. It remains to be seen if Andor will succeed in imposing itself against these behemoths, and if the aura of the series Obi-Wan Kenobi will allow him to attract many curious people with this documentary.

Is it really over?

Obi-Wan Kenobi had the heavy task of exploring in more detail the relationship of the two friends-enemies. The goal: to hang up the wagons with the fourth opus of the license. The series is not intended to be renewed for a season 2, this does not mean that the actors will hang up their costumes for all that. Hayden Christensen should first make an appearance in Ashokaseries centered on one of the disciples of Anakin Skywalker.

The details are for the moment kept secret, we know however that the series should be broadcast next year on Disney +. As for Ewan McGregor, he is currently not attached to any project. However, he still seems very attached to the license. We will probably have to wait for future announcements to know if Obi-Wan Kenobi will return to the heart of a season 2 of his adventures, or if the character will be invited to another production.

In the meantime, meet next september 21 to discover Andor. Spin-off series from RogueOnewhich was itself a spin-off of the saga Star Wars, the series will immerse us several years before the adventures of Luke Skywalker. She will follow Cassian Andor, before he joins the resistance.
