It’s almost time to say goodbye to this very good action movie. Subscribers are starting to get used to it, the movies and series available on Netflix are not forever. If the original productions should remain in the platform’s catalog for life, and here again there are some subtleties, the rights of making available cause the platform’s catalog to mutate continuously. For Mad Max: Fury Road, you have less than a week left. On the page dedicated to the footage worn by Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, we discover that it must actually disappear on September 8th. So you don’t have to hang around. For those unfamiliar with the universe, here’s a quick rundown of what to know about the film, which is considered one of the best of its kind.
The fourth installment in the saga, the film released in 2015 follows a man haunted by a heavy past who believes that the only way to survive is to be alone. However, he will find himself embarked by a band that travels the Desolation aboard a military vehicle piloted by the Imperator Furiosa. The film will bring in $375.7 million at the box office and will win numerous Oscars at the 2016 ceremony. It will also be part of the official selection at Cannes, out of competition of course.
Before the release of the new opus
George Miller is far from having finished with his dystopian universe. The director is working on a new opus in his saga, this time centered on Furiosa. It will be a prequel to the adventures of the character camped by Tom Hardy and Mel Gibson. As the world crumbles, young Furiosa falls into the hands of a horde of bikers led by the warlord Dementus.
For this new part, Charlize Theron will hand over to Anya Taylor-Joy. The revelation of the Queen’s Game will give the reply to Tom Burke (The Musketeers) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor). The latter should deviate from his role as first in the class to play an antagonist. He has also swapped his Nordic god look. The first images have leaked on the internet.
