Video games are gaining ground in this period of a global pandemic. Containment had helped the sector at the start of 2020, a growth that has continued mainly thanks to the large mass of GaaS (Games as a service), Fortnite Passing by PUBG, CoD, Apex Legends etc.
And it doesn’t stop: this Sunday, November 28, the Steam platform broke its record for the number of simultaneous players, i.e. 27.3 million players battling mainly on CS: GO, Dota 2, PUBG, Team Fortress 2, Apex Legends, New World and… a certain Halo Infinite, whose multiplayer mode is already very successful. The previous attendance record was 26.9 million players.
Of course, the black Friday big promo period also played a role in this influx of players. Even the Cyberpunk 2077 outcast is back in the top 10 out of 10 best sellers… thanks to its slashed price.
