Roborock is taking advantage of CES to launch its all new S7 MaxV Ultra, a robot vacuum with a versatile dump station that allows it to empty, wash and fill its tank with clean water.
New flagship bundle for the start of the year, here is the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra! This complete robot vacuum features a new smart station and the very latest Roborock technologies, to deliver a higher level of cleaning with even greater ease.
A new docking station that makes all the difference
This autonomous robotic vacuum cleaner is able to identify and adapt to different objects in its path, including carpets and obstacles, while emptying and maintaining itself! Indeed, thanks to the new automatic station, called Empty Wash Fill Dock, and included as a bundle with the S7 MaxV Ultra, this will reduce manual maintenance by the user:
- the mop is automatically cleaned during and after cleaning sessions;
- its automatic water refill function (3L tank) allows the S7 MaxV Ultra to clean up to 300 m², ie 50% more than its predecessors;
- the dust container is vacuumed by the station which has a dust bag (2.3 L) which can contain up to 7 weeks of particles;
- the smart station also self-cleans.
High level performance
But that’s not all since the robot itself has also been improved, it succeeds as well as S6 MaxV and offers, for example, a suction twice as high with 5100 Pa. Another novelty, ReactiveAI, the improved avoidance system from obstacles which goes in version 2.0 with an RGB camera and a 3D scan by structured light to a brand new neural processing unit.
The S7 MaxV Ultra also adapts faster to objects in its path to intelligently navigate around them, regardless of lighting conditions. It recognizes and positions furniture in the app, allowing the user to initiate faster cleaning around the dining table or sofa with just one touch of the icon. It identifies the different rooms of the house, down to the specifics of their floors, recommending the suitable cleaning method, the suction power or the intensity of the friction.
Like the S7 model, this vacuum features VibraRise technology, a sonic vibration mop that automatically rises as carpets approach, vacuuming carpets and cleaning hard floors in one pass.
Finally, Roborock responds to a point quite requested by its users: the addition of a detergent for an even more effective cleaning. Good news, the brand has worked with OMO (Unilever) to soon offer a compatible detergent product! It can even be used with the recently launched Dyad mop vacuum.
Availability and prices
With all these new technologies, Roborock could not keep the same level of attractiveness as on its previous models in terms of price. Premium robot vacuum cleaner, the S7 MaxV Ultra in its bundle version with the docking station, falls into the category of the most expensive robots since it will cost 1399 euros to afford it, the price of an iPhone 13 Max for example ! It will be available in the second quarter.
Fortunately, you will be able to buy the S7 MaxV without the station and at that time its price will be 799 euros, for availability in the first quarter. Finally, note that a bundle called S7 MaxV Plus will cost 999 euros, and will ship the classic dump station already available for the S7.
If you find that this is still a bit expensive, know that Roborock will be releasing a new mid-range series soon, which combines the automatic emptying function with the technologies of the S series. The Roborock Q7 Max as well as a new dump station , the Auto Empty Dock Pure will be the first in the series, available in France before summer 2022.
