Scorn: the FPS inspired by the drawings of HR Giger (Alien) is postponed to 2022

The disturbing Scorn, Sci-fi FPS whose artistic direction is directly inspired by the illustrations of the great HR Giger (designer of the sets and the creature of the film Alien), never ceases to be expected. Initially scheduled for 2018, the game from the small indie studio Ebb Software has fallen behind and is explained bluntly on the Kickstarter page of the title: “We often mistakenly use the expression“ development hell ”. It should apply to projects which have changed their basic idea or scale in mid-development and fail to adapt to it ”.

The studio further recognizes that “Mistakes were made”, a franchise that honors but is not necessarily reassuring for the future. Because the game has been almost completely rewritten: “90% of what has been achieved has been completely scrapped” specifies the young studio. This “reset” was accompanied by a rise in load (from 20 to 56 employees), a step necessarily heavy to digest for such a small structure. Scorn will be available in 2022 on the Xbox Series and PC platforms.
