Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless, record autonomy

Sennheiser is finally back with brand new consumer and premium headphones. Introducing the new Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless.

After having concentrated in recent years mainly on true wireless headphones, the German manufacturer is finally returning to the front of the stage for consumer headphones with active noise reduction. Here is the new Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless, a welcome update since its predecessor already dates from 2019.

7 years after the very first Momentum Wireless, Sennheiser is enjoying this summer of 2022 and just before IFA 2022 in Berlin to announce its fourth generation of premium wireless headphones. The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless will be available at a price of 349.90 euros for availability from August 23rd..

Like its predecessors, the Momentum 4 Wireless is presented as an over-ear headset and it will be available in two colors, a black version and a cream version. If we obviously find active and adaptive noise cancellation, we especially welcome a new 42mm transducer system and an impressive 60h autonomy. Note also the fast charge capable of giving 6 hours of autonomy in only 10 minutes of charging. We remind you that its predecessor was limited to 17 hours of autonomy when its direct competitors were at around thirty hours.

“Our MOMENTUM line has always set the benchmark for sophisticated listening, with superior sound,” says Christian Ern, Sennheiser Principal Product Manager Consumer Headphones. “The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless raises the bar, delivering best-in-class sound quality with advanced adaptive noise cancellation and exceptional comfort. With features such as transparency mode, built-in equalizer and new sound customization function, users have the flexibility to assert their preference.”

As you might expect, Sennheiser obviously offers a mode Transparency that is activated through the helmet with a simple press. We always use the Smart control application to adjust the equalizers, sound modes, etc. Finally, Sennheiser has equipped its headphones with beamforming microphones with automatic wind noise cancellation, which allows for clearer conversations. And finally, we also find the function Smart Break which interrupts playback when the headphones are removed and the function Auto On/Off which allows you to turn your helmet on or off depending on whether the helmet is in the open or closed position.
