Tesla throws $ 50 whistle after Cybertruck and beer

The American brand definitely has it under the hood.

Tesla’s Cybertruck is not yet on the road, but the American company has projects full to make people talk about it. After trying to conquer Germany with a homemade beer, the autonomous car giant has just launched its “Whistle”. On the surface, it is a very normal metal whistle. Regarding Tesla, the object still has a small peculiarity: it costs almost $ 50.

A snub to the Apple Chiffonette

Behind this rather surprising project, Elon Musk lived up to his reputation as an Internets troll. By marketing his Cybersifflet, the billionaire hears well “Sound the alarm bells about Tesla”, and thus play the game of its detractors. It must be said that by throwing a whistle at $ 50, the objective of the boss of Tesla is not so much to seduce an audience of fans already committed to his cause, as toattack the Apple wipe head-on. Sold for a few months and already out of stock, the simple piece of fabric announced by Apple during its last keynote was sold for almost € 25 per unit. A bit expensive to clean your screen.

On Tuesday, Elon Musk therefore seized his social networks to announce to his 65.1 million subscribers the arrival of his Cybersifflet. As a selling point, the businessman said: “Don’t waste your money on that stupid Apple wipe, buy our whistle instead”. Inspired by the design of the famous Cybertruck, the Cybersifflet will be marketed in a limited edition on the brand’s official website. Made of polished stainless steel, the object also has an attachment to hang it on a cord, so that its lucky owners can wear it around their neck without fear of losing it. Even as he mocks the Apple wipe, this new fantasy signed Tesla may well take the same path. At the time of this writing, it is already out of stock.

While waiting for the Cybertruck

Despite everything, this astonishing whistle will also be an opportunity for Tesla fans to wait a little before the real Cybertruck is marketed. If it had not really been unanimous at the time of its presentation (in particular because of its design worthy of Back to the future), Tesla’s armored truck should finally be launched at the end of 2022, a year later than expected. In the meantime, the impatient will still be able to spend their money in the various products derived from the brand. In addition to the $ 50 Cybersifflet, Tesla also offers a carafe ($ 150), a desktop charger ($ 45) or an S3XY ink cup for $ 35.
