The little robot Miko will be able to read stories from Disney and Pixar films

Cute, agile and able to respond to fairly simple commands, the little robot Miko finally has the only flaw of having been designed for children. The eponymous manufacturer is preparing to change dimensions after its participation in the incubator of disney. The third generation of the Miko robot, already available in more than 140 countries, will indeed benefit greatly from the agreement with Disney.

The little robot will now be able to tell children stories from Disney and Pixar films such as Moana, Frozen, The Lion King, Toy Story, Big Hero 6, or even Coco. “Bringing the imaginative worlds of Disney and Pixar to our platform is a big step forward in robotics for kids”said Sneh Vaswani, co-founder and CEO of Miko in an email to TechCrunch. “Miko is thrilled to be the first robotic platform to benefit from such an innovative collaboration with Disney, and we look forward to raising the benchmark for child engagement together.” »

The startup Miko was created in 2015 and has 170 employees. Today, it is the only company whose robotics platform integrates an official Disney app.
