the new trailer is a bug in the matrix

The new trailer suggests that we may well be entitled to a replay of the plot of the first film.

18 years later Revolutions, Matrix returns to our screens for a 4th part. The film directed by Lana Wachowski, without her sister, has already been the subject of several trailers, each more enigmatic than the last. At the moment, very little is known about the plot of Matrix 4, except that we will find a good part of the initial cast.

All ? Not really. Some actors are absent subscribers, starting with Laurence Fishburne who had confided a few months ago that he had not been contacted by the production. It is Yahya Abdul-Mateen II who seems to have taken over the role of Morpheus.

So why these casting changes? The new trailer gives us some food for thought. A sort of visual face-to-face between the original trilogy and this new opus, the sequence seems to indicate to us that Matrix 4 will be more of a reboot of the first opus than a completely original plot. A notion of déjà vu which was present in the first films and which will obviously take a whole new turn.

This rereading is a good pretext to give a little fresh air to the visual effects of the universe, always effective but a little outdated because I now offer cinema. If Keanu Reeves has not aged a bit, this observation does not apply to the first three films.

Will the pill pass to the fans?

This new opus is eagerly awaited by fans from the very beginning. It must be said that the previous films are pivotal works of the 21st century which have marked generations of science fiction and action enthusiasts. This return, even if it is provided by one of the directors of the first films, is cause for concern.

We can nevertheless count on Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss to do the show. The duo will be back in the movie poster. They will give the reply to Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Quantico), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter).

To find out if Matrix: Ressurections will meet the expectations of the public, we will have to wait until December 22. It is on this date that the film will be broadcast in France.
