Xbox renews its partnership with Adidas but also BAIT for very limited number of sneakers.
A few weeks ago, Microsoft announced an unexpected collaboration with Adidas, which gave birth to a pair of colorful sneakers but which were obviously not intended for sale. This time, the company puts the cover and unveils a much more sober pair of sneakers, in the image of the Xbox 360, but which will be sold in very limited copies. Indeed, only 360 pairs will be on sale.
These shoes adopt the famous Forum Mid model from the Adidas brand. They are almost entirely black, with some phosphorescent parts on the back. Only the outsole manages to stand out in a very subtle way, sporting a neon light green colorway. An Xbox logo completes the whole on the outer edge of the shoe.
These sneakers were not only made in partnership with Adidas, but also with the streetwear and footwear brand BAIT. Each pair of sneakers is also numbered with a serial number, the ultimate stamp of their exclusivity and rarity. They went on sale this weekend in a store in San Diego as part of Comic-Con, so we can imagine that they went like hot cakes.
But that’s not all, since this collaboration also contains a few textile items, including a sweatshirt and a tracksuit bottom. These are much more garish than sneakers. On the sleeve of the sweater and on the leg of the tracksuit is the Xbox 360 writing in large font. On the back of the sweater, there is also a huge green Xbox logo that will not go unnoticed.
If you want to get Xbox collector’s items, you can also fall back on the anniversary collection unveiled by Microsoft a few weeks ago. The collection includes accessories, but also clothing in the colors of the Xbox brand, or even with the effigy of Halo, the first game to be released on the console. They have been available for sale since November 15, when Microsoft held a very special conference in honor of its players.
