We learn with great astonishment the arrival of a PlayStation console exclusivity within the PC Game Pass next week.
Video game fans are not unaware that Sony and Microsoft are waging a merciless war with ever more powerful consoles but also exclusives, hard won following the takeover of many studios. It’s not uncommon to see a few exclusives move from one ecosystem to another after a while, and that’s going to be the case once again with this game that’s been particularly popular with PlayStation gamers.

death stranding, the latest hit from creator Hideo Kojima, will soon join the ranks of Microsoft’s Game Pass… but won’t be accessible to everyone. Indeed, it integrates the catalog of the PC Game Pass, and not that on Xbox. technically, therefore, death stranding remains a PlayStation console exclusive… at least for now.
This is the basic version of the game, the one released in 2019 on PS4, and not the latest version, namely Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Released only on PS5 a few months ago, the game brought some welcome new gameplay as well as a graphic improvement designed for the current-gen. The firm gives an appointment to its subscribers on August 23 to find out, although we do not yet know at what precise time.
The start of a long relationship?
As a reminder, the PC Game Pass is a subscription service offered by Microsoft only on the PC platform. It is available at the price of 9.99€ per month for standard access and gives you access to a large library of games that is regularly renewed. For 1€2.99, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also gives you access to the cloud, Xbox Live Gold as well as the games library on Xbox and EA Play.
Also note that this is not the first evidence of collaboration between Hideo Kojima and Xbox. A few weeks ago, we also learned that the game designer was going to put his talent at the service of a brand new game, this time in partnership with the teams of Xbox and not PlayStation. He does not turn his back on Sony, however, and continues to feed certain secret projects if we are to believe the rumours.
