Thomas Pesquet has his feet on the ground again

Thomas Pesquet is back on Earth after more than 6 months aboard the International Space Station. The French astronaut and the three other members of the crew landed on Tuesday, November 9 at 4:33 a.m. off Florida. It was the very first time that Thomas Pesquet had returned to Earth aboard a SpaceX Dragon capsule (the return had been provided by a Soyuz machine during previous missions). Pesquet was the first to step out of the cockpit, raising a thumbs up to signify that all was well.

The 4 astronauts will now undergo a battery of health tests in Houston, after which Thomas Pesquet will fly to Cologne and the European Astronaut Center to undergo other batteries of tests, more extensive this time. During this period, the French will still be able to see his relatives and in particular his partner Anne Mottet, who works at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
