An announcement that comes at a time when Activision is looking to reinvigorate its Call of Duty franchise. For this, the company is actively working on a new Warzone experience which should be available this year. It could well be applied to the mobile option of the game.
Call of Duty: Warzone mobile is coming soon
It was through an article posted on its blog that Activision informed players of the mobile version of its battle royale game. In the post you can read this:
We are creating an all-new AAA mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fluid, and large-scale action of Call of Duty: Warzone to gamers on the go,” said Activision.
The company went on to say that the mobile version of Warzone is going to offer a full-scale battle royale experience. It will integrate state-of-the-art technology in order to provide a good time of entertainment to players around the world over several years.
Activision, however, has not indicated when Warzone mobile should be available. However, everything suggests that the game is currently in the development stage. In its announcement, the company did not show any screenshots from the game.
Besides that, she didn’t give any details regarding how the game will work. In the world of battle royale games for mobile, there are two opposing sides. That of Apex Legends Mobile which is intended only for mobile players. The other camp is that of Fortnite which offers a real melting pot of players that takes into account several different platforms.
Activision wants to build on the success of Call of Duty: Mobile
The company’s choice to offer a mobile option to its game is not really risky. Activision is setting foot in a very lucrative and growing industry. With Warzone mobile, Activision therefore hopes to get a share of this big pie represented by the market for battle royale games on mobile. But this time, it will have to do with tougher competition.
