Watch Dogs Legion: 1 year 1/2 after the launch of the game, Ubisoft announces that there will be no more new content for the multiplayer mode

Almost an admission of failure: barely 1 1/2 years after the launch of the game Watch Dogs Legion, Ubisoft just came out of the woodwork to announce that there will be no more new content for the title. The announcement comes just days before the launch of the 5th season, which will therefore be the last. Ubi specifies that when this season is over, seasons 3 to 5 will then repeat on a loop. Weariness awaits…

Watch Dogs Legion 1 1024x575

Ubisoft’s lack of interest in its own franchise is undoubtedly linked to several factors. Watch Dogs Legion clearly did not have the expected success, the game being quite far from the initial promises. Above all, Clint Hocking, the game’s creative director, has moved to a new Assassin’s Creed Infinity project being developed at Ubisoft Montreal studios. Suffice to say that the abandonment of Watch dogs Legion has undoubtedly been decided at Ubisoft for a long time. The French studio will have preferred to spare the players during the end of year celebrations 2021 (surpriiiiiiiiiiiiiise!!!).
