you’ll be able to play these Xbox, Switch, and even PS Vita games

Valve announces that some popular games released on Switch, PS Vita and Xbox will be available on Steam Deck.

In about ten days, a certain part of the players waiting for the Steam Deck will be able to get their hands on their precious order. In the meantime, Valve continues to unveil the list of games that will or will not be supported, and even optimized, for the revolutionary hybrid PC. Among them are some interesting popular titles… but mostly released on other consoles beforehand.

Running on Linux, and using Proton, the machine should be compatible with the latest update of the latter, version 7.0. If it does not allow you to run all the games available on Windows, it does however make it possible to make certain titles released on Switch, Xbox, or even the PS Vita version of some games compatible. We are talking here about games such as Persona 4 Golden, Monster Hunter Riseor the recent Forza Horizon 5.

A list as long as your arm

This update therefore fulfills the expectations of the players, while Valve has already been testing highly anticipated games on the machine for several months, without much result. The same fate could also be reserved for Apex Legends, EA’s battle royale. In a statement about Proton’s 7.0 update, Valve publishes the list of all games now compatible:

  • Year 1404
  • Call of Juarez
  • DCS World Steam Edition
  • Disgaea 4 Complete+
  • Dungeon Fighter Online
  • Epic Roller Coasters XR
  • Eternal Return
  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Gravity Sketch VR
  • monster hunter rise
  • NecroVision
  • Nights of Azure
  • Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas
  • Order of War
  • Persona 4 Golden
  • Resident Evil 0
  • Resident Evil Revelations 2
  • Rocksmith 2014 Edition
  • SCP: Secret Laboratory
  • Wargroove
  • Wartales
  • Yakuza 4 Remastered

Easy Anti Cheat is finally compatible

But the update doesn’t stop there. Indeed, just after this list, Valve explains that version 7.0 of Proton also brings support for Easy Anti Cheat, only for games where the developer has activated the Linux module. Owned by Epic Games, the anti-cheat software will therefore be compatible with the Steam Deck, which still does not decide the studio to put Fortnite on the device.
